As all those who often read my Blog my have noticed, there is a new Sub-Page on this Blog named Field of Glory.
This page is going to take you on our official Field of Glory Team page, where you might find all the latest information upon our team named the "Warmongos" as well as sufficient links and dates for Tournaments as well.
 But pay attention: because out team is from Germany, the whole side is written in German. I hope that for those who don't speak German the translation service of Google will do. I hope that all those who follow this Blog will do so with our new one as well.

After a short night that followed the evening before, we met at the venue in the morning around 9:00 and I was bound to meet Frank with his List of Early Successor. These were the first succeeding kingdoms after the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BC, which fought over supremacy of the territories once controlled by him. Some of the armies of the succeeding kingdoms have unique army lists, such as mine which is depicting the Seleucid kingdom from 206 BC onward. Frank's list is to be found in the army-list companion "Immortal Fire" and dated 92 BC. So, to be honest, his early successors are not that "early". So let's continue with Step number 7. Which is the highlight of the leather armour, made with Vallejo MC 70.951 White. I used a mix of accurate painting and drybrush as my coulour dries quite fast. 8. Now highlighting the red with Vallejo 70.957 Flat Red and the gold/brass with the original Old Gold. 9. After that, we get started with the flesh - I am using as middle tone the Andrea Colour AC-52, which I like espacially for ist verry dull result. 10. The second flesh I am using is Foundrys 127C from the expert flesh set.  11. So what is there still to do? Painting the back of the shields in Vallejo 70.872 Choclate Brown and highlighting the green - to do this I mix the green basecoat, Vallejo MC 70.980 Black Green with approx. 1/4 of Vallejo GC 72.034 Bonewhite. ..due to Christmas celebrations and preparations I was not able to finish the second part as fast as planned. I hope you all had a good time with your families and beloved ones so far and are now well enough rested to read on. The first part of the series can be found here . ... so, lets have a look at the other side of the table: My pikes were busy keeping the horseman to their front. After being close enough to charge, those horseman then had better insights concerning the stability of my ranks and two of them decided to charge, breaking through a unit of skirmishers. breaking through their own skirmishers, these horseman had bad times coming The result was, as expected, meagre. Both lost fragmentation and the unit on the right decided to loose a base as well during close-combat.
