I recently bought a tripod for my camera and finished the first of 4 StuG III from Plastic Soldier Company. I think the tripod really improved my photos. Have a look yourselves:

Hey there! Today I continued my German SS Mortar Platoon by finishing the observer and the radio station. By now there is only the basing left for me to do before they will be ready for battle. Too bad I'm not yet sure how to deal with the high stands the battlefront miniatures have... Maybe there is going to be a step by step introduction on how I do the german camouflage later. If there are still people readig this Blog I#d be pleased if you tell me wether you'd like to see a tutorial like this or not. But first: have a look at the observer and radio team und enjoy !

 After long time I'm back in block again with a brief insight to my latest project which is 15mm World War 2. As there is here in Berlin a bigger group of people playing Flames of War, I decided to participate in that gaming system as I already have some of the Battlefront Miniatures. As these players started an Italy Campaign previously there was not any other way to me than participating what will provide me with much more motivation in painting miniatures. So have a look yourselves at my recently painted Mortar Plattoon. Bases are still WIP, but never mind. I hope you enjoy the miniatures and their camouflage! "Vorwärts" - "Move up!"

Heavy Machine Guns the command group and. last but not least, the gunner group Today I finished my Revell German panzergrenadiere, so that this group is ready for battle now. Unfortunalety the pictures are not that great - it semms I should take some new ones. I hpo you like 'em

Auch ich wünsche allen meinen Lesern, und natürlich denen, die es werden möchten ein Frohes Neues. Nachdem ich heute meinen Entry für den Behind Omaha Bemalwettbewerb fertig gestellt habe, habe ich mich entscheiden, die hierfür zuerst angedachte Figur zu zeigen. Es handelt sich um einen Deutschen 1:72 Kollegegn der Firma Esci, den ich auf der Inspiration Modellbau in Mainz erworben habe. Ich hoffe, er gefält euch. And now for our English Firends: I wish all my readers, and naturally those, who want to become so, a Happy New Year! Because I finished my entry for the Behind Omaha painting contest, I decidet to show the miniaturewith which I wanted to win this contest first. Hope you'll like him !

Darafhin wurde ein wenig weathering im Bereich der Kettenkästen betrieben, und die gefertigten Ketten wurden aufgezogen. Ledier verrate ich euch nicht, wie ich das mit den Ketten geamacht habe... *geheim* ;) Aber das Weathering macht man mit einem verdünnten schwarz-braun Gemisch, welches man dann an den betreffenden Stellen aufpinselt.

Nach einer weißen Grundierung wird bei diesem Panzer die Grundfarbe in mehreren schichten aufgetragen. Es handelt sich hierbei um die Revell Farbe "Afrikabraun". Danach wir das gesamte Modell mir stark verdünnter Revell Farbe Lederbraun gewasht: and now for our english friends: After Priming the tank white the foundation I applyd Revell Afrikabrown in two layers. After that, the modell was wahes in Revell Lederbaraun.

Glücklicherweise sind meine Panzer III aus Hannover angekommen. Hierbei handelt es sich um Schnellbausätze von Italeri. Ich bin sehr positiv überrascht über das Detailreichtum der Panzer. Dieses schlägt sogar das einez alten Panzer III von Revell. Einzig die Ketten sind ein kleines Mali, was jedoch zu verkraften ist. And now for our english friends: Luckily my Panzer III from Hannover arrived. These are some Fast assembly kits fom Italeri. I am surprised about the specifics, which are much better than the details of another Panzer III bought from Revell. Only the cahins are worse, but in my oppinion, this is not the worst.

Auch meine 1:72 Deutschen machen fortschritte. Hier könnt ihr einen mit Herbsttarn ausgerüsteten doppel S Mann sehen. Denke, das ich mit einer ähnlichen Figur beim Bo Malwettbewerb teilnehmen werde... And now for our English friends: My german arms for Behind Omaha is in progress, too. The shown doubble S man is fitted with a german autumn camouflage. I think I'm gonig to take part with a Miniature in this style in the BO painting challenge.

Und wieder einige schöne Modelle für Behind Omaha am StuG habe ich meine neue Airbrush ausprobiert, wobei das ergebniss noch ein wenig zu optimieren wäre . Wie man an der Saukopf-blende sehen kann, gibt es leider noch einige Farbnasen:(. Das Italeri Motorad der Feldgenamerie ist nun auch bereit zum Einsatz. and now for our english friends: Here are some new models for my german Behind Omaha army. I tried to paint the Stug III with my new airbrush, and for the first try, it doesn't look as bad.

Hier ein Stug III von Amourfast mit Saukopfblende aus Resin und selbstgemachtem Ziremit. Die Anbauteile sind von "Zimbo" aus dem Behind Omaha Forum. Da ich noch keine Airbrush habe ist das Hinterhalt-Tarn mit dem Pinsel aufgetragen, sieht aber wie ich finde garnicht so schlecht aus.
