15mm Saracen Lancers

Today I tried finishing the basing of a unit of Saracen Lancers as I recognized I am out of gras - got to go to a store tomorrow... That's the reason these are still rated work in progress. Hope you enjoy them though.

Medieval Spearman

Today I managed to finish one unit of early medieval spearmans supplied by Legio Heroica. The terrain seen underneath was the price for finishing third in the last FoG tournament in Hamburg.

Saracen Archers and some more

As the tournament in Hamburg is getting closer, I was still in need for some apropriate miniatures. Thats why I had to paint a unit of saracen archers, some light foot crossbowman and another unit of knights. Have a look yourselves:

Some miniatures in my showcase, yet unseen here, were still waiting to get proper basedesign. These are the results: 4 Bases Lancers/Knights If there is an option to dismount them from another angle Medium foot - I`m quite proud of the freehands

More 15mm Medieval

After longer absence on this Blog - after getting a new computer it took some time remembering my login data - ther is some new stuff finished. In The Worlds 2016 touirnament in Charleroi, Belgium, I finished 10th of 30 competitiors playing a Wars of the Roses Yorkist army. Not only the belgian beer prooved to be quite effective, so did ,y unit of Liht Hores with Lances. To bad they were borrwed at that time. Luckily there were a lot of suppliers arround and one of thme hat some Corvus Belli miniatures to offer, which are sadly not produced anymore. I decided buying a untit of these Light Horse, and here they are: But not only these few miniatures got finished last week. As there is a tournament in Hamburg coming closer, some more miniatures have to be painted. As I still had some basecoated, but not jet started crossbows waiting for colour, I decided starting with these. I don't think they'll prove as a good option to take in your Field of Glory army, but everyone sho...

Medieval Commanders

As there is the new camera-equipment now, I feelt kind of in duty to use it showing you more miniaturesy I recently finished. These are four 15mm medieaval command bases used for Field of Glory. The figures are supplied by Peter Pig, flags are LBM geenric Wars of the Roses, as far as I'm considered. Hope you like 'em!

StuG's!!!

I recently bought a tripod for my camera and finished the first of 4 StuG III from Plastic Soldier Company. I think the tripod really improved my photos. Have a look yourselves:

High Elves Swordmasters Standart Bearer

Hey there! As recently announced, I was able to paint some of my Warhammer Fantasy Stuff which I bought for a cheap price on e-bay. So I got started with a Swordmasters Standart-Bearer from the Isle of Blood starter kit. His mates are still waitig to be painted. Have a look by yourselves and enjoy!

German Mortars and Heavy MG's done

Hey there! I was recently able to finish my german support weapon plattons. I think the next thing to come up is a bunch of 28mm old High Elves I still got from my early wargaming times which are in a serious need of a new painting. But lets have a look at the pics! I hope you'll enjoy them!

German Mortars WIP+2

Here they are: first 5 Bases of German Mortars are now done. Command Base and Radio Officers are still waiting for their basing to be done. Hope you'll like them!

Field of Glory Ceasars Romans

After finishig my Sparta project I had to move up to my next  Field of Glory Army. About one year ago I bought a big bunch of Corvus Belli miniatures fitting the "Caesars Romans" theme which tuned out to be a good decision as Corvus Belli stopped producing their 15mm ranges some months ago. Luckily I had already bought enough Legionaries and stuff to build that army containing a lot of heavy infantry. Legionarys might be quite expansive but to my mind they are absolutley worth their points in Field of Glory as they are really tough bastards to fight against ;) As I'm not yet sure how many bases one battlegroup shall be formed of, I deided to build first two legions of 4 bases both containing 3 legionaries and 1 command base and lateron painting one more base in the same colour sheme so I'm able to put them together as one Legion of 8 without having trouble with two command bases. So have a look oo my first roman Legion and some light archers !

WW2 German Mortars WIP+1

Hey there! Today I continued my German SS Mortar Platoon by finishing the observer and the radio station. By now there is only the basing left for me to do before they will be ready for battle. Too bad I'm not yet sure how to deal with the high stands the battlefront miniatures have... Maybe there is going to be a step by step introduction on how I do the german camouflage later. If there are still people readig this Blog I#d be pleased if you tell me wether you'd like to see a tutorial like this or not. But first: have a look at the observer and radio team und enjoy !

15mm Flames of War Mortars

After long time I'm back in block again with a brief insight to my latest project which is 15mm World War 2. As there is here in Berlin a bigger group of people playing Flames of War, I decided to participate in that gaming system as I already have some of the Battlefront Miniatures. As these players started an Italy Campaign previously there was not any other way to me than participating what will provide me with much more motivation in painting miniatures. So have a look yourselves at my recently painted Mortar Plattoon. Bases are still WIP, but never mind. I hope you enjoy the miniatures and their camouflage! "Vorwärts" - "Move up!"

Sparta FoG Project finished

You might now think: Oh my goodness, now he comes arround telling proud that he managed to finish his Sparta project after a so felt decade.  But this is luckily not the case, as I finished them about a half year ago, palying them the first time in Ulm , claiming the fith place among 10 players. So now this is a complete view on the Spartan Citizen which are the core of this army. The other troops are going to follow in the next few days, so that you'll get an impression what messing with Sparta means. I hope you like them!

Casualties Markers for FoG

As you may see I finished some casualtie markers for Field of Glory some time ago to show the units morale in a more violent way. The miniatures are produced by museum miniatures and are placed on 5 and 2 Cent coins as Bases. (I think its the DD01 pack, but im not that sure) The blood on the ground was made with wood glue, leaving it dry and then painting it creates wonderfull blood pools... I hope you like them.

Dacians

As it was quite silent around this Blog for a long time by now, here is a new Post anouncing my latest FoG project which are the Dacians found in the Companion "Legions Triumphant". These 5 Bases are the first part of a unit unprotected superior undrilled heavy weapons which are to my mind the cheapest and best units you may find. Only the command base is still missing because I'm going to paint the warriors first and the commands, which would make the units complete to 6 bases, second. I hope you enjoy them as much as enjoyed painting them.

New Blog !!

As all those who often read my Blog my have noticed, there is a new Sub-Page on this Blog named Field of Glory. This page is going to take you on our official Field of Glory Team page, where you might find all the latest information upon our team named the "Warmongos" as well as sufficient links and dates for Tournaments as well.  But pay attention: because out team is from Germany, the whole side is written in German. I hope that for those who don't speak German the translation service of Google will do. I hope that all those who follow this Blog will do so with our new one as well. So enjoy this new web page filled up with battle reports, tactic hints and so on ! http://www.field-of-glory.blogspot.de/

British Napoleonic Cavalry

So as I promised in my last Post I am going to show the British Cavalry now. Unluckily all the Bases have nor been dried yet - I hope you enjoy them:

Happy new Year

Dear readers as the new year got already started I wanted to start with some eye candy to wish you a happy new year. These  British miniatures for the Napoleonic wars are a painting job of mine, I hope you'll enjoy them. There is going to be more Napoleonic British stuff for example British Cavalry ( Hussars,Scots Greys, Dragoons and the royal Dragoons the "Blues") to come. Have a great new year, may all your good intents become true ! The British Line Infantry advancing close up on a British Gun British Line Infantry British 12pdrs.

French WIP +6

So these are the next spearman comming fresh from my workbench. Those are called low countries spearman in FoG, meanig that they are armored, drilled and offensive spearman. Unluckily I didn't manage yet to put on some paint to fight the gloss they still have, which is going to be done if the whole unit got painted. The units schield desings are kind of historically accurate, meaning that this heraldry really existed by a lokal Flandern family. Their family motto is kind of cool as well - I am going to translate it for you: "Seul contre tous" meaning "Allone agianst the rest". I like the motto and hope that they are going to fight that way on the battlefield. If you like them please tell me in the comments.
